The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) approved the acquisition of Integrys Energy Group, Inc. by Wisconsin Energy Corp. The companies announced the proposed acquisition in June of 2014.

"We're pleased that the key groups were able to reach an agreement satisfactory to all parties that ultimately resulted in the MPSC written order for approval," said Integrys Energy Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Charles Schrock. "This action brings us another step closer to completing the transaction with Wisconsin Energy."
