Lundin Petroleum spuds Nemo appraisal well, offshore norway

Lundin Petroleum AB's wholly owned subsidiary Lundin Norway AS (Lundin Norway) has completed the Clapton exploration well 2/8-18S in PL440S. The well is located about 5 km east of the Eldfisk Øst Field and 10 km north of the Valhall Field in the North Sea.

The primary exploration target was to prove hydrocarbons in chalks of the Shetland Group. The well encountered reservoir rocks as expected in the Shetland Group. The reservoir properties were poorer than expected. Data acquisition and sampling have been carried out.
