Lamprell PLC, a leading provider of specialist engineering services to the international oil & gas industry based in the UAE, declares that the Directors have resolved to appoint Mr Colin Robert Goodall and Mr Brian George Fredrick as Non-Executive Directors of Lamprell.
Colin Goodall qualified as a chartered accountant and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He spent most of his career in the upstream oil & gas industry with BP plc, where he joined the finance team in 1975, later becoming the first Chief of Staff within the BP Group. From 1995 to 1999 he served as Chief Financial Officer for BP Europe and then as BP's senior representative in Russia. His career has involved assignments in Africa, Middle East, Europe, Russia and the Americas. Colin's appointment took effect from 14th September 2008.
Brian Fredrick has been involved in the financial services industry since 1973. Brian worked in Dubai with HSBC in the 1980s and 1990s and has also been HSBC's Chief Executive Officer in Mauritius, the Philippines and Indonesia. He was subsequently appointed HSBC's Head of International for Asia-Pacific and most recently has been a Director of Techcombank, a joint-venture Vietnamese bank in which HSBC has a 20% stake. Brian's appointment will take effect from 1st January 2009.
Upon appointment to the Board of Lamprell, Colin Goodall and Brian Fredrick are expected to join the remuneration, audit and nomination committees of Lamprell.
At the time of Colin Goodall's appointment 6,000 shares are held in trust on his behalf.
Brian Fredrick does not hold any shares in the Company.
