IKM Subsea Singapore has started 2018 well with a double contract award. The first is a contract to provide two ROVS for a FNLG Mooring Installation in Bangladesh. IKM Subsea provided a Merlin WR200 and a Comanche with the necessary tooling on board the vessel Jumbo Javelin. IKM was chosen due to previous experience with the client, Jumbo Offshore and the ability to perform in strong weather conditions in Bangladesh. With the Merlin WR200, the operating weather window is extended to help and execute the project.
The second contract is a repeat order. IKM Subsea has been working with the client, Solstad Farstad since 2015 and this is a result of the good working partnership we have built over the years.
IKM Subsea will provide up to three ROVs this year for the campaign that consist of a FSO changeover, jacket and pipeline installation. Merlin WR 200 Workclass ROV s, Comanche together with the required toolings to execute the project will be provided by IKM Subsea Singapore with respect to the project.
“These contract awards has kick start 2018 in a positive manner and we hope this will flow throughout the year. We are proud to have repeated clients as it proves we are doing it right,” says Mahesh Govindan, Managing Director APAC & ME. He adds that building a good relationship with clients is part of the IKM culture that helps to ensure that projects are executed well and deliverables are met with quality required.
