ICOTA Europe to focus on weight reduction at next lunch and learn

ICoTA Europe’s next lunch and learn will focus on weight reduction within the Coiled Tubing industry on Tuesday 16th April.

Presented by Ron Clarke, director of Coiled Tube Resource Management, the session will present the case for industry-wide adoption of aluminium as the material of choice for Coiled Tubing and springs before weight becomes a serious issue for both on and offshore operations.

Clarke will also argue that the use of high strength and low weight alloys combined with sound engineering has the potential to significantly improve operations surrounding well intervention.
