Drydocks World the international service provider to the shipping, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors have been recognized at the Shell Contractor Workshop Awards for the best HSE initiative in 2014-2015. The award ceremony was held at the Radisson Blu Edwardian in Heathrow, UK on October 15th and the award has been given to Drydocks World’s President and COO, Dr. C.S. Kim.

Drydocks World has received the award for the introduction of Chariot Robotic equipment for hydro-blasting on the vessels’ hulls which helps in reducing health, safety and environmental risk and offers consistent quality and increased efficiency. As part of the introduction various tests, including emission tests and waste generation tests were carried out on a periodic basis, to assess the performance of the chariot robotic machines and their impact on Health, Safety and Environmental aspects. The technology is set to replace the existing grit blasting process
