Håland Instrumentering AS has entered into a collaborative agreement with ABB process instruments to be their Stavanger, Norway, distributor.

“The current market situation in the oil and gas market is challenging, and oil companies need a variety of distributors who can offer complete services. The agreement enables us to offer comprehensive packaged solutions in instrumentation, detection, actuators and valves,” says Tore Hermansen, general manager of Håland Instrumentering.

ABB is a global technology company specialising in power and automation technologies that enable customers in the energy, industry and transport and infrastructure to improve performance while lowering environmental impact.

“We are very pleased that Håland Instrumentering in Stavanger will work with ABB and offer their process instruments, especially to the modifications market. It strengthens our local presence, which means that we can offer an increased level of service to our customers in the area. Our new distributor has certified expertise of our products,” says Elling Nygaard, who is responsible for the agreement with ABB.

The synergy in such an agreement means that Håland Instrumentering can offer a product range that includes measuring of pressure, temperature, level and flow, detection of fire and gas and actuators and a large valve selection.

“This allows us to offer the complete product line to Norwegian and international projects, both offshore and onshore industry. Overall, we will strengthen our position in the market and provide more capacity and competitiveness for upcoming projects,” explains Hermansen.
