Systems integration specialist Hima-Sella has appointed John Blackwell as its new Managing Director. John, who has served as Hima-Sella’s Finance Director for the past seven years, takes over from Ian Wright whilst also retaining his responsibility for finance and administration.
In his new role John will assume overall accountability for all matters relating to the business, with Eddy Turnock (Sales & Marketing Director), Nigel Banner (Engineering Director – Process Safety) and Paul Alliott (Engineering Director – Rail Systems) retaining their respective responsibilities.
Ian remains a full-time director of Hima-Sella and will be concentrating on his role as Executive Chairman of the board of directors, ensuring that the board is effective in its tasks of setting and implementing the company’s direction and strategy. He comments: “After serving as Finance Director for the past seven years, John is ideally suited to take over the role of leading the business, now in its 40th year of trading, and to shape the future development of Hima-Sella. John’s wealth of experience as a proven financial leader coupled with his extensive management skills put him in an excellent position to fulfil this task.”
