Greene’s Energy Group has promoted Tom Sawyer to Vice President of International Business from Vice President of Marketing and Sales.
Based in the company’s Houston office, Sawyer will lead the effort to establish markets for Greene’s throughout the world. He will also retain oversight of the company’s U.S. pipeline services.
Greene’s will soon be opening offices in Macaé and Barra, Brazil, thanks in part to the time Sawyer has spent in the country developing relationships and strategy for the area.
“Tom’s efforts in Brazil have been an integral part of our recent international growth, and his experience in and knowledge of the international oil and gas industry will enable him to continue leading the growth of our global business,” said Bob Vilyus, Chief Executive Officer.
Before joining Greene’s in 2004, Sawyer worked for Baseline Technologies Inc., GE Oil and Gas (PII), BJ Services and Trans-Canada Pipeline. He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering chemistry from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and he is a member of the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association (PESA).
