GCC’s sulfonated asphalt product, has been rebranded from the name CORT SAS to CLAY PRO®. CLAY PRO®, which is currently widely used in the Middle East and North Africa, is a shale control additive and mud conditioner for water-based and oil-based muds. Its benefits include: reduction in shale sloughing; lowering of high temperature water loss; reduction in torque, drag and differential sticking; inhibiting dispersion of drilled solids and serving as an emulsifier and substitute for oil.

Alongside the rebrand of CLAY PRO®, GCC is introducing a suite of products including a Demulsifier (NE10), a two-stage Emulsifier (EM09A, EM09B) and an Anti-Corrosion Inhibitor (AC199) to enhance its existing range of solutions to the international drilling fluids and stimulations sectors. Meanwhile, GCC’s research and development department, based in Abu Dhabi, is continuing to develop new products for industry use.
