Gassco has concluded a frame agreement with Germany’s Fichtner GmbH covering assistance with developing and executing projects at the receiving terminals for Norwegian gas in continental Europe.
This deal runs for five years with options for extensions, and call-offs will be made under this frame agreement for specific assignments.
“The agreement reflects our need to secure resources for project execution and further development of the facilities we operate in continental Europe,” says Trond Nordal, Gassco’s Director for Gas Terminals.
“That requirement has been reinforced since we took over responsibility for daily operation of the terminals in Germany, Belgium and France last year.”
Fichtner is one of Germany’s largest independent engineering companies, with its head office in Stuttgart.
Through the agreement, Gassco has accordingly acquired a contractor which is very familiar with German conditions and regulations.
Fichtner also has long experience of major industrial projects and resources in technical areas which Gassco wants to use in further developing the continental terminals in an efficient way.
