Foster Wheeler says that its UK-headquartered subsidiary, Foster Wheeler Energy Limited, part of its Global Engineering and Construction Group, has been awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category. This is the eighth time that a Foster Wheeler UK company has won a Queen’s Award.
To win the Queen’s Award a company must be able “to demonstrate substantial growth in overseas earnings and commercial success, to levels that are outstanding for the goods or services concerned and for the size of the applicant’s operations.” Foster Wheeler was judged for its outstanding achievement in international trade, sustained over not less than three years.
“Winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise is a tremendous honor for our company,” said Michael J. Beaumont, chairman and chief executive officer of Foster Wheeler Energy Limited. “We have played, and are playing, a key role in safely delivering some of the largest, most challenging and technically complex projects in the world today. The expertise, commitment and professionalism of our people are key to our success and I would like to thank all of our staff for the contribution they have made in achieving the outstanding export growth that has led to this prestigious Queen’s Award.”
