The Ferguson Group is promoting its accommodation support vessel (ASV) at ONS 2010 in Stavanger, Norway at outdoor stand U32.
Graham Cowperthwaite, chief operating officer of Ferguson Modular said: “We are excited to announce that the ASV will be ready for charter from Q3 2010 and see ONS as an excellent opportunity to let people know about the new accommodation support vessel we are offering to complement our established products and service.”
“This vessel offers a large open deck area that would suit various applications to both the oil & gas and renewables sectors. The high quality accommodation complements a flexible solutions vessel.”
“We intend to gradually build up a fleet of similar ASV’s suitable for energy industry operations in any global location and anticipate additional major developments in our division offering a full range of offshore accommodation.”
Ferguson Seacabs, a Ferguson Group company, long standing ambassadors for DNV quality standards around the world, received the 100,000th DNV (Det Norske Veritas) certified unit into their fleet at a recent ceremony. The 3m dry goods container will be on display at ONS at the outdoor stand.
Steven Ferguson, managing director of the Ferguson Group, will join Gary Wilson, director of business development for Ferguson Modular, and Group Finance Director Mike Melville in leading the team attending ONS to promote the ASV division. The team will be joined by members of the Ferguson Norge AS office, a Ferguson Group company, which is based in Tananger, Norway.
The new division is seen as a logical extension to the flexible accommodation solutions offered by Ferguson Modular, which also has a range of accommodation complexes and work space units available for rental.
The Ferguson Group recently announced plans to invest almost £75million (NOK 715million) in the next three years with a large proportion of this going into further expansion of overseas operations.
