The Ferguson Group, a major supplier of accommodation modules and containers for the global energy industry, has appointed Kevin Strachan as Group Financial Controller.

Kevin was previously based in Toronto, Canada, for 10 years, serving as a senior manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers before moving to Siemens subsidiary Chantry Networks where he held the position of Chief Financial Officer.

He was born in Inverurie and attended local schools before starting his career with accountancy firm Cassie & Co in the town.

Managing Director Steven Ferguson welcomed the appointment, saying it was highly significant for the future growth ambitions of the group.

“The Ferguson Group will continue to expand our levels of business globally and it has been a priority for us to develop management teams with appropriate international skills and experience. I am sure Kevin will greatly add to our expertise in this area.

“We are totally committed to developing our operations from our headquarters in the north-east of Scotland and the appointment is a true homecoming for Kevin.’’

Kevin said, “I am looking forward very much to being back in the north-east and playing a part in the continuing growth of a highly successful local company with an international outlook.’’
