ATP announces production success in Dutch North Sea

ATP Oil & Gas Corporation announced first production at its L06d-S1 well located in the Dutch Sector of the North Sea. The Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, ATP Oil & Gas (Netherlands) BV, is the operator and owns a 50% working interest, the remaining 50% interest is owned by Energie Beheer Nederland B.V.

Initial net ATP production rate is expected to be approximately 15 to 20 MMcf/d. The L06d-S1 well logged approximately 88 feet of net pay, 26 feet updip of the original L06d-2 well. L06d-S1 is located in 115 feet of water.

Commenting on the announcement, T. Paul Bulmahn, Chairman and President of ATP, said, "First production at L06d marks a significant Dutch North Sea achievement for ATP and its international development strategy. ATP now enjoys flowing production in all three of its core areas: the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, the UK North Sea, and Dutch North Sea."
