Expro has reinforced its commitment to world-class safety performance by winning the Oil & Gas industry sector award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents for the fourth year in succession.

Expro received the accolade after demonstrating outstanding safety performance across its business globally, including the best statistical safety performance over the past five years, excellent health and safety processes, and innovation in the training and development of employees.

In 2006, Expro became the first service company to receive the honour. Since then, the company’s commitment to maintaining the highest health and safety standards saw it retain the award in 2007 and 2008, with this year’s award making it four in a row for Expro.

The award was presented at a ceremony, hosted by RoSPA president Lord Jordan of Bourneville, at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, on May 12.

This significant achievement marks the latest milestone in Expro’s Excellence in Operations programme, which has the delivery of outstanding safety performance, service quality and customer care at its heart.

Expro’s group HSEQ manager, David Ford, who received the award, said: “Winning this award for the fourth year in a row is a fantastic achievement. It speaks volumes for our global health and safety performance and procedures and could only have been achieved with the dedication and hard work of our people.
