The 2015 European Forum of Nuclear Industry Suppliers ATOMEX has just opened in Budapest with the aim of strengthening and further developing its partnership within the European nuclear industry.
This is the 6th international Forum, organized by Rosatom, and has become a key communication platform to offer opportunities to partners for a direct and open dialogue with the Russian nuclear industry representatives.
Kirill Komarov, First Deputy CEO for Corporate Development and International Business at Rosatom, and Attila Aszódi (photo attached), the commissioner of the Government of Hungary for maintenance of Paks NPP capacity, were among the keynote speakers at this year’s forum.
In his address, Kirill Komarov emphasized the importance of the Russian-Hungarian cooperation in the nuclear industry.
“Today, Rosatom holds a world-leading position for the number of nuclear power plants (NPPs) that are under simultaneous construction abroad. We have 43 power units at various construction stages: 9 units are in Russia and 34 units are abroad including the countries of Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Our projects provide European suppliers with a great opportunity to apply their technologies’, he said.
