Mechanical services company EnerMech have secured a contract with Talisman Energy Norge (TENAS) for a crane cabin change out on the Gyda platform in the Southern North Sea.
The work scope covers the design, engineering, construction and installation of the cabin with delivery scheduled for July. Construction will take place at EnerMech’s Stavanger facility and the contract is estimated to be worth in the region of 5.5 million NOK (£550k).
Talisman have also extended a frame agreement with EnerMech which covers crane maintenance services, including the provision of personnel services offshore and onshore, and modification work on the Gyda platform, with options to cover other Talisman operated platforms.
The frame agreement was previously held by Bjørge ASA but has been transferred following EnerMech’s acquisition of Bjørge’s crane division last October.
Trond Møller, general manager of EnerMech A/S, said,“TENAS is a key client for EnerMech and we are delighted to have strengthened our existing relationship with the award of this cabin change out contract and the extension of our frame agreement for crane maintenance services.
“Our strategy is to extend our presence in the Norwegian crane market by providing a greater level of engineering depth and technical know-how than is currently available to clients.”
