Encore Acquisition completes mid-continent and East Texas acquisition

Encore Acquisition Company updates on year-end reserves and production

Encore Acquisition Company has completed the acquisition of certain oil and natural gas properties in the Mid-Continent and East Texas from EXCO Resources, Inc. and an affiliate, EXCO Operating Company, LP.

The Company funded the acquisition with proceeds from the sale of certain oil and natural gas properties in the Rockies and Permian Basin to Encore Energy Partners LP, which also closed today, and borrowings under its revolving credit facility.
