To round up the first Deep Offshore Technology International conference and exhibition (DOT) in Aberdeen, exhibitors and delegates gathered in the exhibition hall for the closing awards ceremony this afternoon (October 16).
Conference director and chief editor of Offshore magazine David Pagaine presented accolades for the track one and two sessions to the following individuals for their exceptional papers delivered during the three day show:
Track One
• Best paper – Dr Jack Zeng, Kvaerner for 'Design and Verification of a Long-Stroke Riser Tensioning System for use in Deepwater Dry-tree Semi-submersible platforms'
• Highly commended – Dr Tomasz Tkaczyk, Technip for ' Challenges with the World's First Deep Water Reeled Clad Pipe Project: Ultrasonic Inspection and Fracture Assessment'
• Highly commended – Mr Wei Ma, Chevron Energy Technology Company for 'Vortex Induced Motions of a Column Stabalized Floater Part II CFD Benchmark and Prediction'
