Norwegian contractor Dolphin Drilling has achieved international accreditation of a maintenance management system onboard its latest deepwater drillship, following a rigorous assessment from one of the largest classification bodies in ship and offshore certification.
Dolphin Drilling, an independent contractor of mobile drilling units, worked with Aberdeen and Stavanger-based SAP software specialist for upstream oil and gas, Absoft, to implement a computerised maintenance management system onboard its new, state-of-the-art Bolette Dolphin drillship.
DNV-GL carried out a thorough evaluation of the SAP planned maintenance system, implemented onboard the Bolette Dolphin, and awarded the certification after the solution met the stringent requirements of Rules for Classification of Ships.
