DeepOcean AS, a subsidiary of DeepOcean Group Holding BV, has announced that it has been awarded a long term subsea inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) Frame Agreement by Aker BP ASA.
The contract covers the provision of a wide range of subsea operations for all fields operated by Aker BP on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, including onshore planning, engineering and project management services. The contract has an estimated value of NOK 300 million during the initial three years, with an option to continue the activities for an additional 6 years.
The contract involves a binding minimum work volume per year and DeepOcean will employ various vessels in our fleet for the performance of the work.
Currently the Aker BP operated assets include Valhall, Ula, Ivar Aasen, Alvheim, Tambar, Hod and Skarv.
“This is a huge success for DeepOcean and our on- and offshore teams. DeepOcean is dedicated to provide safe and efficient operations and we are extremely proud that our performance for Aker BP over the past 2 years is recognised through this new award. It also demonstrates again that DeepOcean can deliver commercially attractive solutions to our customers. We are looking forward to continue our relations with Aker BP and work closely with them to identify further optimisations, implementing new technology and operational innovation,” says Rolf Ivar Sørdal, Commercial Director in DeepOcean.
