Chevron Upstream Europe’s managing director Craig May will set the agenda for taking technology to new depths at a deepwater conference in Aberdeen in October.
For more than three decades Deep Offshore Technology International (DOT) has been showcasing pioneering technology that has been shaping the future of the deep and ultra-deepwater industry, but 2014 will see the conference held in Aberdeen for the first time in its history.
In his keynote address, Mr May will draw from the operator’s strong international deepwater position to offer his perspectives on the industry’s challenges and opportunities.
Mr May commented: “The increasing cost and complexity of deepwater developments presents a need for both existing technology to develop and new technologies to be applied.
