Daybreak Oil and Gas, Inc., a Washington corporation, announce the successful drilling of the first oil well in a three well fall drilling program at the East Slopes Project located in Kern County, California. The Bear #8 well was drilled to 2,250 feet and encountered approximately 13 feet of oil pay in the Vedder Sand. The well will be completed, and production results will be announced following production testing. The Bear #9 well has been spud and is currently drilling. The Bear #10 well will be the final well of this three well drilling program. The Company owns a 37.5% working interest in the Bear wells.
James. F. Westmoreland, President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "We are off to a successful start of the fall drilling program in California. Our goal is to further define our Bear reservoir and increase our oil production at our East Slopes Project. Additionally we are working on obtaining the final permits to continue drilling development oil wells on our Ball property, which should happen in the spring of 2014. Furthermore, our production facility upgrade on the Sunday facility has almost been completed. The upgraded facility will handle the increased production from this, and future drilling programs that we have planned in the area."
