Dana Petroleum has successfully brought 3,500 bbls/day of new production online from an infill well in the Hanze field in the Dutch sector of the North Sea.
The initial flow rate from the Hanze Infill Well A06 is around 3,500 bbls/day, of which 1,600 bbls/day is net to Dana. This nearly doubles the existing Hanze field production. The well was drilled using the jack-up Noble Lynda Bossler and is expected to deliver additional reserves and be a good producer over the next few years.
The infill well is part of a series of five infrastructure-led wells being drilled by Dana's Netherlands business. Dana also drilled the P11-08 exploration well, in the production licence P10a from its De Ruyter platform earlier in the year. Results from this well are currently being evaluated.
