Cubic Energy, Inc. announces today the successful drilling of the Tabor 4 No. 1, their 10th Cotton Valley well in the Company’s northwest Louisiana acreage. The Tabor 4 No. 1 reached total depth of 10,550 feet and preliminary well log analysis has identified numerous gas pay sands in the Cotton Valley and Upper and Lower Hosston formations.

The Company expects to move the Energy Drilling No. 2 rig to Cubic’s next Cotton Valley well, the Luttrell 7 No. 1. This well will be the third well drilled in Cubic’s more northern acreage, in Johnson Branch. The Luttrell 7 No. 1 is permitted to drill to a total depth of 11,000 feet.
