HOUSTON - FMC Technologies, Inc. announced that its FMC Energy Systems business has signed an agreement with Woodside Energy Ltd. to supply subsea systems and related services for Woodside's Enfield project, offshore Western Australia. The contract value is approximately $65 million.
The agreement includes 13 subsea trees, production controls and associated systems. FMC Energy Systems also will furnish technical services related to installation and startup.
The Enfield development area is approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) northwest of North West Cape, Western Australia. Water depths in the area range from 1,310 to 1,805 feet (400 to 550 meters).
In January 2003, FMC Energy Systems announced it had been chosen by Woodside Energy Ltd. as a preferred supplier of subsea production systems. This is the first agreement of its type in the Australian region. Under the preferred supplier agreement with Woodside Energy, FMC Energy Systems has established an office in Perth and will seek to use local fabricators for work on subsea structures.
"This is the first order for equipment and services under our preferred supplier agreement with Woodside Energy," said Peter D. Kinnear, Vice President - FMC Technologies. "This agreement reflects our position as a leading worldwide provider of subsea technology and solutions and results from our long relationship with Woodside Energy."
