ConocoPhillips gets consent for abandonment of Ekofisk 2/4-T

Ekofisk Tank

ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS (COPSAS) has received consent for abandonment of the Ekofisk Tank.

The Ekofisk Tank and its protective wall will remain on the field.

The consent includes cleaning of cells, storage of equipment on the 30m-deck, removal of equipment except for a crane on the protective wall, installation of solar cells to operate navigation equipment and marking and painting of the helicopter landing site.

The work is planned for completion by the end of April 2009.
