TransAtlantic Petroleum Corp. announced that the SGU 96 well at the South Gillock property in Galveston County, Texas has been successfully completed and tied in to the gas sales line.

The SGU 96 well, in which TransAtlantic holds 100% of the working interest (77% net revenue interest), is currently producing 1 million cubic feet per day and 30 barrels of condensate (no water) at a stabilized constrained rate on a 11/64 inch choke.

The well was completed in the primary target, the Big Gas Sand formation, at a measured depth of 8,150 feet. The flowing tubing pressure of the well is 1,340 psi while the shut-in bottom hole pressure is 3,468 psi.

The successful completion of the SGU 96 well in the Big Gas Sand supports the Company's underlying premise in acquiring the field that there is substantial remaining gas in the gas cap of the South Gillock field.
