StatoilHydro eyes supply-vessel hire

Norwegian oil company StatoilHydro has issued a Letter of Intent to Farstad Shipping for the long-term charter of a platform supply vessel being built at Aker Yards Brevik.

The contract covers five years and four, one-year options starting with the delivery of the vessel from the yard in early 2009.

The Letter mentions a firm contract for the Far Symphony supply vessel, an Ulstein P105 design, until the new-build ship is delivered.
