Omega Subsea UK, a provider of project personnel to the energy industry, has acquired Westhill-based personnel firm Accpron UK. The move will strengthen Omega Subsea UK’s provision of project management teams and individual personnel to the subsea, energy and oil and gas industries.

The two companies had previously worked together as preferred partners, and clients of both firms will now benefit from a greater depth of service as a result of their combined expertise. Omega Subsea will continue to concentrate on providing project management teams, but will also offer specialist teams to deliver focused commercial, contractual and HSEQ support services.

The acquisition comes just one year after Omega Subsea UK was established. During that time the firm has secured a clutch of contracts with operators and tier one contractors in the subsea and oil and gas sectors in the North Sea, Mediterranean and West Africa. The firm expects to turnover around GBP 2.5million for its first year of combined operation.

Omega Subsea UK is the UK division of Norwegian project management firm Omega AS. The international business has 15 offices around the world and supports clients operating in a diverse range of industries. It currently has over 1,100 consultants on assignment.
