Due to increased activities and bright prospects ahead, the Norwegian oil-tech company Pro Analysis AS has hired 3 new technical engineers this summer.
Pro Analysis is located in Bergen at the West Coast of Norway. All major oil and gas operators have proven their technology for continuous and maintenance-free monitoring of Oil in Water (OiW), Argus®. The information from Argus® helps the operator to optimise the production, which both increases profit and reduces oil discharge to sea.
Since launching in 2005, Pro Analysis has sold more than 220 systems worldwide, and are market leaders in the North Sea. In the last years, despite the pending market, they have won several international contracts. More than 80% of their revenue are now from export.
“The contracts shows that we are competitive in a quality conscious marked” CEO Gunnar Alfheim says. “During 1-2 years of operation, the investment costs with Argus® are normally fully returned, due to increased efficiency, less waste of hydrocarbons and reduced labour costs,” he continues.
Their new employees will do fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning of new systems, as well as follow-up and service for old customers.
The company also expect higher demand the coming years, due to recent technology breakthroughs. Argus® Multipoint enables huge cost- and space savings on fields with several measurement points. Argus® Extreme, the world’s only OiW-monitor with self-cleaning for high-pressure (<100 bar), is ready for the market after successful tests with Statoil this spring. Argus® is also, because of it’s proven reliability over time, approved to do government reporting of oil discharge directly to Norwegian authorities. More countries will most likely follow.
