GEOxyz – founded by Patrick Reyntjens in 1999, and employing over 110 people across five European bases – has launched a new UK base that will focus on global oil and gas exploration and maintenance in addition to home markets.

GEOxyz owns and operates 16 vessels as well as an extensive range of seabed mapping and sampling equipment, which is deployable across their vessel, ROV, drone and surface mapping platforms.

In recent years GEOxyz has successfully moved into the offshore markets with the purchase of dedicated vessels and utilising vessels of opportunity.

Sarah Cashmore, who will head the new UK HQ, launched her career as an offshore Geophysicist at Gardline in 1996, has held senior positions at UTEC Survey, RPS Energy and most recently as Operations Director at Calecore and Survey Manager at Alcatel Submarine Networks.

Cashmore has a deep understanding of offshore site investigation; data integration and reporting and delivering complex and logistically challenging survey campaigns across the globe most notably in Africa, Greenland, Norwegian Arctic and the Kara Sea.

“With our market in one of its most challenging periods, I am looking forward to providing clients with innovative solutions, based on our proven track record, extensive fleet of vessels and state-of-the-art equipment. GEOxyz teams are highly motivated professionals all focused on safely getting the best quality data for their clients,” says Cashmore.
