Houston-based ATP Oil & Gas Corp. has agreed to sell EDF International of France 80 percent of its Tors and 68 percent of its Wenlock field stakes in the U.K. North Sea for £265 million ($430 million).
It’s the second deal between the companies in as many months, as EDF moves on sources of gas near the Continent.
Under the deal, EDF has an option to pick up ATP’s remaining interests in the area.
ATP said it was liquedating under the supevision of Scotia Waterous and will cut its debt with the proceeds from the sale.
