On 8 October 2013, China National Offshore Oil Corporation offered foreign operators a chance to partner it in 25 blocks offshore China, covering a total area of 102,577 square kilometres.
Among these 25 blocks, 2 are located in Bohai Bay; 3 lie within both the East China Sea and South Yellow Sea; 10 in the East of South China Sea and 7 in the West of South China Sea.
