Santos says that the GLNG project has started producing its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) on Curtis Island, Queensland, on schedule and within budget.

Work on the second train is continuing to progress well, with Train 2 expected to be ready for start-up by the end of the year.
Santos Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer David Knox said today’s announcement marked the most significant milestone to date for Santos’ first operated LNG project.
“We said we’d produce first LNG around the end of the third quarter, and that’s exactly what we’ve done,” Mr Knox said.
