Claxton, an Acteon company, has won a major contract to provide conductor centralizers, internal centralizers, deck covers, drill bushings, support frames and associated services for the Martin Linge development on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The first phase of Claxton’s four-year contract with Total E&P Norge AS covers 11 wells. The project agreement was finalised in September 2013 and first delivery is scheduled June 2014. Claxton worked closely with Total to identify the most effective centralizer solution for the development. A review of riser analysis reports and further investigation led to the development of simpler and more cost-effective centralizers than had originally been anticipated, particularly those for the splash zone.
