Churchill Drilling Tools has announced that the first of its new HyPR™ HoleSaver™ hydraulic pipe recovery systems has been delivered, amidst growing international demand.
Two major operators have now selected the cost-saving tool for projects in the North Sea whilst another is planning imminent deployment in the Gulf of Mexico. Encouragingly, some onshore operators have also identified potential scenarios in which the system has applications too.
Developed by the Houston and Aberdeen-located company towards the end of 2014, the HyPR™ HoleSaver™ is the world’s first hydraulic pipe recovery system. It is faster, simpler and safer than using traditional recovery methods and is set to save the global drilling industry millions of dollars in cost and time reduction.
