Caterpillar Oil & Gas has announced it has completed the acquisition of M2M Data Corporation. Headquartered near Denver, Colorado, M2M offers turnkey hosted solutions enabling customers to monitor their assets, perform remote diagnostics and streamline maintenance and dispatch to achieve operational excellence. In addition to serving gas compression, M2M has expanded into adjacent oil and gas markets over their seventeen year history.
“This acquisition will expand our existing suite of Cat® Connect offerings across the Cat Connect Digital Services Technology Platform,” says Craig Lange, director of strategy & growth businesses for Caterpillar Oil & Gas. “Ultimately, combining M2M’s and Caterpillar’s capabilities will strengthen our relationships with our customers enabling us to deliver high-level operational support solutions.”
The platform M2M has developed over the years allows for quick integration of new customers. “M2M offers a full suite of hardware, firmware, software and services to provide a high level of customisation needed to address our customer’s business challenges,” says Trevor Harper, VP, chief technology & Operating officer at M2M. “We are pleased to be joining the Caterpillar family and look forward to our people, products and services joining Caterpillar and the global Cat® Dealer Network.”
