Canamens Energy North Sea

Canamens Energy North Sea Limited has been offered participation in 5 Licences in the UK 25th Seaward Licensing Round.

The award of these Licences represents a major development in Canamens' involvement in the UK North Sea. Block 8/25b is Canamens' second license in the UK North Sea as operator and its first directly from a licensing round.

Commenting on these latest licensing awards, Canamens CEO Greg Coleman said: "We are delighted to be participating in these UK North Sea blocks. We are particularly pleased to have been awarded the operatorship of block 8/25b. We believe that the North Sea still has much to offer the UK in terms of further crude oil and natural gas exploration, development and production. Canamens very much looks forward to playing a part in exploiting this critical national resource."

"These awards come on top of the recent completion of the acquisition of a series of interests from Nautical Petroleum and our participation with Total in blocks 8/14 and 8/15. Together these provide Canamens with a strong foundation to build a material business in the North Sea."
