Bergen Oilfield Services AS (BOS) inform that superb 2D/3D vessel BOS Atlantic has started mobilisation towards West Africa for a Q1 startup of the NWAAM 2D regional multi-client program. This news complements earlier announcements, and reinforces the BOS commitment to target an early data delivery of these new data found to be of large interest by the E&P industry. The BOS Atlantic has recently received a successful upgrade, including installation of the latest ION Digistreamer as well as the ORCA 2D INS from ION Concept Systems. The vessel also remains exclusively rigged for Arctic surveying technology. In West Africa it is expected that the vessel will work both on the NWAAM survey as well as responding to proprietary survey requirements in the area.
Marc Guillon, Business Development Manager Africa, comments." I am extremely pleased with the response from our clients to the NWAAM Multiclient program and with recent vessel upgrade and today. BOS has underlined our commitment to becoming a major multiclient provider. Our aim is to further develop the NWAAM program in full cooperation with interested clients to enhance the areas of prospectivity in North West Africa. The BOS partnership with Exploration Geosciences has been a key to our success, along with enthusiastic support in West Africa from individuals to local authorities. Now we are just excited to get going and to deliver significant new exploration data to our customers,"
