Bonavista Energy Corporation report an exciting leadership change which positions Bonavista for continued long-term success. Effective December 3, 2012, Mr. Jason Skehar will be promoted to President and CEO and appointed as a director of Bonavista. This appointment concludes a four year succession plan, which began with Mr. Skehar's appointment as President and COO in November of 2008.

Mr. Skehar is a professional engineer and has been employed with Bonavista since 1999 in increasingly responsible roles. He is a University of Saskatchewan graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and has a total of nineteen years of varying industry experience including three years of hands-on field experience.

As part of this succession process, Mr. Keith MacPhail will become Executive Chairman of Bonavista, remaining actively engaged in Bonavista's future strategy, vision, and long term objectives including the overall Board of Directors stewardship.
