Cooper Energy Limited advises that Butlers-7, an oil development well located in PEL 92 on the western flank of the Cooper Basin, spudded on Wednesday 3 October, 2013 at 14:30 hours. The rig is currently drilling ahead in the 12 ¼ inch surface hole.
Butlers-7, a deviated well located 105m north-northwest of Butlers-6, is prognosed to drill to a total depth of approximately 1,440m to accelerate production from the Namur Sandstone. Drilling results are expected next week.
After drilling and evaluation of Butlers-7, Butlers-8 will be drilled to further accelerate production from the Namur Sandstone, as well as test the deeper Birkhead Formation secondary target.
