AWE’s Pecten East-1 starts drilling

The Henry and Netherby gas fields were scheduled to be connected to the Casino production facilities by mid 2009.

Santos, as project operator, has advised that the installation of the pipeline will be delayed as the pipe laying vessel is now not available to install the pipeline in the first half of 2009. The contractor has offered to complete the contract scope of work in the next weather window, with mobilisation in late 2009.

This timing would not impact on forecast gas production levels.

Participants in VIC/P 44 are: AWE 25.0% Santos Limited (operator) 50.0% Mitsui E&P Australia Pty Ltd 25.0%
