Aberdeen-based integrated production data solutions specialist, Aventa Systems, is driving forward business development with a new appointment.

Kenny Duncan has taken on the role of commercial director with the firm, which will see him pushing forward new business as well as development and execution of projects and new products. Prior to working with the firm Kenny, 42, ran his own information and technologies company, Pragma. The company was formed in 1995 and grew to have more than 120 employees before being sold to Sword Group, a French PLC, in 2005.

Since then Kenny, of Stonehaven, has taken on a mixture of roles including non-executive director and consultancy work within the oil and gas IT sector.
