Edit page New page Hide edit links Artificial Lift Company (ALC) has successfully deployed its Advantage™ Rigless Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) System for Total E&P Congo in the Republic of Congo. The rigless system was successfully installed, conveyed and retrieved on a System Integration Test water well in the Djeno field. Total will now include the Advantage system in future wells offshore. One hundred percent of Total E&P Congo’s production comes from offshore and the majority requires secondary lift. A downside of using an ESP is the need for frequent intervention and the limitation of having workover vessels available offshore. The Advantage slickline-conveyed, rigless ESP system reduces intervention time, intervention cost and production downtime because of the lack of rig availability and mobilization. |
