Security specialist Ambrey Risk, based in Hereford UK, has shown its commitment to preparing for the new ISO 28007 standard by being one of the first Private Maritime Security Companies (PMSCs) to train internal auditors and has now successfully completed Stage 1 of the ISO 28007 process, in collaboration with Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA).
Already certified to ISO 9001, the company is one of the first PMSCs to have conducted such training in preparation for the new ISO/PAS 28007 accreditation, industry guidelines for Private Maritime Security Companies. With the Gap Analysis being an integral part of the initial process, Ambrey was presented with an action plan, better enabling the company to strategically plan and focus all efforts towards the auditing process of Stage 1. This initial audit process ran smoothly, with the Ambrey Risk team well informed with regards to the most recent developments within the industry.
