Paris-based process technology giant, Technip, will design four generic wellhead platforms and their sub-sea pipelines and tie-ins for the oilfield arm of the Thai Petroleum Authority.
The contract for basic and detailed engineering envisions the structures installed above the Arthit gas field in 80 meters of water in the Gulf of Thailand for tie-in to platforms already in place.
The work covers "the preparation of purchase requisitions for all long-lead items," a statement said.
Technip in Bangko, Thailand will execute the contract with pipeline engineering support from Technip’s operations and engineering center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Drawings are to be made by May 2007.
