Saudi Arabia’s contribution to managing environment greenhouse gases (GHG) will be demonstrated when the Kingdom hosts the 6th Ministerial Conference of the Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum (CSLF) from November 1-4, 2015.
With 22 member countries, CSLF is an international ministerial level initiative, hosted in Saudi Arabia under the patronage of His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, focusing on the development of improved cost-effective technologies for the sequestration and capture of carbon dioxide (CO2), for its transport and long-term safe storage. Carbon sequestration is the process of capture, utilization or long-term storage of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2).
CSLF also has a mission of facilitating the development and deployment of technologies through collaboration that address key technical, economic and environmental challenges. It will also promote awareness and champion legal, regulatory, financial and institutional environments that help such technologies to thrive.
