Wood Group Mustang Canada has been awarded the detailed engineering and design of an integrated topsides facility as part of the White Rose Extension Project (WREP), offshore Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. Subject to partner, company and regulatory approvals, the facility for WREP will consist of topsides supported by a concrete gravity structure (CGS). Wood Group PSN will provide support with the engineering, procurement and regulatory services.
Detailed engineering design of the topsides is scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of 2015. Approximately 135 people will be employed on the combined work team. Wood Group Mustang Canada and Wood Group PSN delivered the front-end engineering design (FEED) for the topsides earlier this year.
Steve Knowles, Wood Group Mustang president, said: "Our ability to draw on our network of Wood Group resources to offer the best solution for this important project is what sets us apart. This project is particularly close to the heart of our business, having provided the FEED for the design of the topsides, and we're delighted to be able to pull in the expertise of Wood Group PSN to support the delivery of this project."
